DIGGING DEEPER

Why Choose the Anglican Way?

"Why Choose the Anglican Way" is a powerful treatise describing the benefits and beauty of traditional Anglican worship and liturgy as excerpted in the quotes below (Written by Rev. Dr. Peter Toon).

"This Anglican Way is an ordered, disciplined, and joyous way of believing and praying and of living and serving.  As the Latin dictum puts it, lex orandi, lex credendi - the law of prayer/worshipping is the law of believing/living.  By using Common Prayer regularly, its content drops from the mind into the heart, where it is cherished and remembered and from where it can grow into virtuous fruit."

"Of the Gospel" or Evangelical

Evangelical means "of the Gospel' and does not denote a particular form of church government or worship.

We are evangelical in the sens of being committed to biblical doctrine and to preaching the good news of Jesus Christ and following the Great Commission by taking the Gospel to all nations, Matt 28:19-20.

"Faith of the Whole Church"

We are "catholic" in the sense of being committed to the faith of the whole Church before the disunion of East and West as delivered to the Apostles and transmitted to each succeeding generation by faithful bishops and pastors.

Family Praying

Pro Family

In accordance with the affirmation of St. Louis (1977), we believe in the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death.   St. Peter the Apostle Anglican Church and the APA believe that marriage should be a life-long, indissoluable union between one man and one woman.  We also accept that marriages end and do fail, and we seek to extend proper pastoral support to those whose marriages have failed or are in danger of failing.

St. Peter the Apostle Anglican Church is an historic, conservative both theologically and socially, Biblical, orthodox Church that is committed to the advancement of the Kingdom of God by the proclamation of the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
