Trinity Sunday - 2024

"The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit."

St. John 3:8

Fr. Yossi celebrated a lovely Holy Communion service on Trinity Sunday. At the beginning of his sermon he stated that on Trinity Sunday the Church commemorates the Christian doctrine of God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. During the Trinity season the focus shifts from the great feasts such as Advent, Christmas, Easter, Ascension and Pentecost to the ongoing life of Christian growth in the love of our Trinitarian God. He then discussed the Trinity as presented in the Collect, the Epistle Lesson (Rev. 4:1) and the Gospel Lesson (St. John 3:1-15). In conclusion, Fr. Yossi exhorted us to take on the yoke of the Holy Trinity and do the works that He would have us do. Let us be empowered and courageous as we go into the world to make a difference and teach the Gospel of our Lord.

Thank you Fr. Yossi for the beautiful service! Thank you Hutch for serving!

After services we enjoyed a delicious lunch of ham, bread, potato salad, baked beans, fruit, blueberry & cherry cobbler, peach ice cream, and cookies! Thank you Laurel, Lynn, and Carol for delicious lunch! ______________________

Thank you Fr. Paul for leading our 10:15 Morning Prayer service. Please let Fr. Paul know if you are interested in being a reader of one of the lessons during Morning Prayer and the upcoming Evening Prayer services.
