Father Scott Koszalinski traveled from Knoxville to lead us in Holy Communion this past Sunday. It was wonderful to see Father Scott again! He has agreed to come to St. Peter's the first Sunday of every month for Holy Communion - Thank You So Much Father Scott!

Rose Marie and Rosalind had an exciting and culturally interesting time last week! Sue asked us to host a visiting member of the Opera Ithaca company. Scott, Sue's husband and Executive Director of the Symphony of the Mountains, had arranged for Opera Ithaca to travel from NY to Kingsport. While in Kingsport, Opera Ithaca and Symphony of the Mountains staged two performances of Puccini's La Boheme, one in Emory, VA and one in Kingsport. All the members of Opera Ithaca were hosted in private residences during their stay in Kingsport for rehearsals and performances. Sue and Scott hosted two of the lead singers, a couple originally from Korea!
Rose Marie and Rosalind hosted Ivy Stevens, the Opera Ithaca Stage Manager for three nights each. She is a delightful young woman. We were very interested to hear about her role and responsibilities as stage manager. Also, Rosalind's dogs were very taken with her!
The Symphony of the Mountains and Opera Ithaca's performances were amazing! Especially considering they only had a week to pull everything together!

Mike McCord, our Junior Warden, is doing amazing things to the front of St. Peter's! Recently Mike finished painting (and repainting) the front of the church!
Mike hard at work this past week.

Everything looks wonderful. Thank you Mike for all your hard work maintaining St. Peter's!

Women's Bible Study met again on Wednesday at Rose Marie's house. We continued our lesson about Sheep & Shepherds. We had such a wonderful conversation, we didn't complete the lesson! However, this week Teresa has arranged a special event for us with a friend of hers who raises sheep! We will meet Thursday, October 10 at 10 am at the church. From there we will car pool to the sheep farm for a tour and a chance to pet and interact with the sheep. After the farm visit we plan to eat lunch at Olive Garden in Kingsport (1919 N Eastman Rd, Kingsport, TN 37660). Your forgetful Bible Study leader forgot to take a picture during this week's lesson but I did find this beautiful image of sheep!
